WE MAKE RUSTIC HERBAL TEAS

We are a creator-owned herbal tea company inspired by the countryside surrounding Cam and Dursley. We use the tastiest parts of organic herbs and spices to make our teas colourful and delicious. We make artisan small-batch herbal blends drawing on our experience of working with natural ingredients and knowledge of how herbs can help our wellbeing. Our range changes regularly to reflect passing seasons and changing moods, and reflects the rustic and natural characteristics of the herbs, with nothing added but care and respect for nature. If you’ve an idea for a recipe let us know and we may be able to make it up for you!

Where to find us locally

We create our teas in Cam in a cottage that used to be a bakery. It feels somehow right to turn the kitchen into a working space once more – although the air is filled with the lovely smell of herbs rather than baking bread.

You can buy our teas at various Cam and Dursley markets. The main Dursley one is under the market square on the second Saturday of the month. You can also find me on local herb walks on the first Saturday of every month with the Cotswold Herb Centre. I’m very grateful for the lovely folk at the Oak at Kingshill for stocking my teas in the past. Also Hewitts Sweet Shop and Eastington Farm Shop for providing shelf space.

If you are running an event and would like a herbal tea stall, a blending demonstration or a talk about herbs, do let me know.

Meet the team

We use around 40 dried herbs and spices sourced from organic suppliers in our blends, including some wildies that people consider weeds. Our Iron Brew contains nutritious dandelion and nettle. Most of the flowers are dried whole as these preserve their valuable essential oils, like marigold, chamomile, and red clover, others like rose, hibiscus and passionflower come as beautiful petals.

For your greens there are three types of mint, lemon balm, lemon myrtle, tulsi – a basil, and one of my favourites Scot’s pine. Pine makes a glorious tea full of essential oils and lemony flavours. I think this tea is a good substitute for green tea.

For more of a punch we’ve our spices including ginger, turmeric, galangal and cardamom – all in the same fiery family. We’ve herbs to energise you, help you relax and sleep, provide you with nutrients and ones to help balance your hormones. It is quite a team – they are awesome.

The thing I love the most about blending tea is opening the herb box in the morning. The aromas are amazing. The most lovely are rose, lavender, pine and all of the mints. One I have to keep double wrapped is valerian root as calling it earthy would be kind. It has been described as wet socks or horsey. When you open our Silent Night tea you will experience a whiff of it but fortunately the smell doesn’t come out in the flavour of the tea.
